INDIGENOUS YOUTH CHALLENGES
What does the Australian Defence Force have to do with you?

The Youth Challenge for Indigenous students is part of a major educational program Defence 2020 – Is the Australian Defence Force a Responsible Citizen?

The Indigenous Youth Challenge Program is a whole day interactive program designed to encourage students to find out about the activities of the Australian Defence Force and how these are relevant to our lives.

It is a very valuable opportunity for students to represent their school and local communities in a lively, exciting and very important educational program that focuses on Australia’s future and the part we can all play as informed and responsible citizens. At each event students will have the opportunity to interact with Defence personnel and also students from other schools in their regions.

In 2009, the DEFENCE 2020 Youth Challenge team travelled to Katherine, NT and in 2010 to Alice Springs. In 2011, the program was held in Townsville, QLD and Kalgoorlie, WA.
